Coachman Drive
With an imposing front slope and poor access to the front door, as well as rocky soil up the back slope of the home, presented challenges to creating the inviting gathering spaces and protected vegetable garden area that the homeowner desired. We utilized retaining walls in front to create a broad and welcoming entry as well as building out a multi-level deck to create multiple gathering spaces for enjoying the mountain views. We dug into the rocky hillside to create a roomy root cellar and potting room and a spacious raised bed vegetable garden area protected from the local deer.
